We asked one of our students what they enjoy most about the 3D printing course. His answer was straightforward:
“I like that I can create stuff. I like this course.”
And what has he created so far? A pencil holder — designed by him, printed by the machine, and now sitting on his desk at school. When we asked if he was having fun, the answer was just as simple: a lot.

What the course is
Our 3D printing course runs over four weeks and is open to students aged 7 to 14. It is designed to be beginner friendly — no prior experience needed, just curiosity.
Students start by learning to design their own 3D models using Tinkercad, a straightforward design tool that introduces spatial thinking and creativity without a steep learning curve. From there, they work directly with real 3D printers, watching their designs come to life layer by layer.
That journey — from an idea on screen to a physical object you can hold — is something that sticks with kids. It makes the connection between design, technology, and the real world feel immediate and personal.
What they take away
By the end of the course, every student prints and takes home a creation they designed themselves. It is not a template or a pre-made file, it is theirs.
Beyond the finished object, what students develop over the four weeks is more lasting: the ability to think in three dimensions, to move from idea to plan to execution, and to understand how the technology behind 3D printing actually works. These are skills that show up far beyond the classroom.
Students who complete the programme also receive an official certificate recognising their work — something concrete to mark what they have learned and built.
