This October, Nobel Courses Malta is opening its doors to something new.
We are launching Junior Robotics, a hands on course designed to introduce young children to robotics, engineering and coding through play, building and experimentation. Before the course begins, we are inviting families to join us for a special Open Week and experience Junior Robotics for themselves.
What to Expect at the Open Week
The Open Week is a chance for children to get involved and for parents to see what a Junior Robotics session is really like.
Families will be able to:
- Explore the space where Junior Robotics classes will take place
- Meet the tutors and ask any questions about the course
- Try out some of the activities children will experience during the course
- See how coding, building and simple robotics can be introduced through hands on activities
Rather than simply telling you what Junior Robotics is about, we want you to see it in action. Children can take part in the activities themselves, while parents can get a feel for the learning environment and what their child can expect from the course.
What Is Junior Robotics?
Junior Robotics gives children the opportunity to explore coding, engineering and robotics through practical activities that encourage them to build, experiment and solve problems.
The course includes a variety of hands on activities. Children can explore unplugged coding through games, cards and movement activities, helping them understand basic programming logic without needing a screen.
They can also use building materials to create towers, vehicles and different structures while exploring ideas such as balance, stability and design.
Other activities introduce children to simple sensors, allowing them to create builds that can react to things around them, such as light, touch and obstacles.
Each activity gives children the opportunity to try something for themselves, make decisions and see the results of what they have built. The focus is on learning through doing, while encouraging creativity, curiosity and problem solving.
These are the kinds of activities families will be able to experience during the Junior Robotics Open Week.

Open Week times:
- 12 to 16 October: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- 17 October: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
