Meet Yana, one of our talented students at Nobel Courses. Yana takes one-to-one robotics and coding lessons with us, and her recent sessions are a great example of what personalised learning can look like in action.

Building a Computer From Scratch

In one session, Yana built a Raspberry Pi computer set from the ground up. A Raspberry Pi is a small, real, working computer that students build themselves rather than buy ready-made, which makes it a brilliant way to learn what’s actually happening inside a computer. Yana worked through each component, learning how the pieces connect and work together to make the computer run.

Once the build was complete, she moved on to Scratch, where she developed her coding skills through fun, interactive activities. Going from hardware to software in a single session gave her a genuine start-to-finish understanding of how a computer actually works.

Designing and Testing Her Own Game

In another one-to-one class, Yana took things a step further. She created her own game ideas using visual coding, then tested her game on a retro-style console to see it in action.

Seeing a game go from an idea to something playable is a big moment for any student. It’s proof that what she built actually works, and that kind of feedback is what keeps kids motivated to keep building.

Why One-to-One Lessons Work

Hands-on learning like this helps students understand technology, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and build real confidence in their abilities.

One-to-one lessons take that a step further. At Nobel Courses, individual sessions give each student:

  • Guidance tailored to how they learn best
  • Practical, hands-on experience with real tools and kits
  • The freedom to develop their creativity at their own pace

Every student learns differently, and a one-to-one format means the lesson can move at the pace that works for them, whether that’s diving deeper into a topic they love or spending extra time on a new skill.
